to cut directly to the chase, I recorded each member's total number of lines, represented in seconds, during ot12 era so far. this includes ad libs, spoken words, and raps.

so, what is this but morbidly interesting? well, i shall use this data to declare THE VOCAL LINE (according to Me):
- Chuu (main)
- Heejin (lead) (sub-main)
- Kim Lip (lead)
- Jinsoul (lead)
- Yves (lead)
- Haseul (sub-lead???)
- Choerry
- Olivia
- Go Won
- Yeojin (sub)
- Vivi (sub)
- Hyunjin (sub)
I KNOW THAT LOONA DOES NOT HAVE OFFICIAL POSITIONS. I know bbc said they can and will change roles each comeback, and by looking at the raw data above you can see that that's true. however. THE FACTS DONT LIE!!!!!!
I'm putting Chuu as main even though Heejin outpaces her re: quantity bc Chuu has the best vocal technique overall, and often times the main vocal of any group doesn't always have THE MOST lines (eg, RV wendy vs seulgi, twice jihyo vs nayeon: i think twice is a perfect comparison in that the center (nayeon/heejin) gets more lines than the main (jihyo/chuu) even tho they are still only lead)
imo by vocal ability Haseul deserves to be at least a lead vocal?? by number of lines she's in the bottom half, but she IS also firmly in the "ad lib line" ? which I think is a representation of bbc's thought process of "ok, here are all the members that can Actually sing" and so they do runs and high notes and stuff. either way idk if I can put her as a main vocal. I just think she is not used that way. the numbers… the numbers dont lie………
I did not sit down and count out how many seconds of rap each member gets, but my estimate would make the rap line as such:
- Jinsoul (main)
- Choerry (lead)
- Go Won (lead)
- Olivia (lead/sub-lead?)
- Yeojin
- Vivi
- Hyunjin (sub)
choerry actually raps more than jinsoul but I refer to my earlier justification of main vocal selection. jinsoul has the best technique which I think makes her main over choerry. again I wouldn't take this ranking as necessarily 100% accurate cause I ain't worked on that part specifically yet but you know. whatever.
