“PTT (Paint The Town)” is the second and title track from the mini album [&] by LOONA. A Japanese version of the song was released simultaneously as a single.

It served as the basis for the group’s fourth comeback, during which LOONA earned their second music show win—their first with all twelve members—on SBS’ THE SHOW on July 6th, 2021.

The song was later rearranged and performed by LOONA for the first round of Queendom 2.

The title track “PTT (Paint The Town)” is a hip-hop dance genre with the most intense and explosive energy of LOONA that they have released so far.

“PTT (Paint The Town)” combines all the essential elements from chart-topping Bollywood songs, with a massive Indian drums and tablas combined with aggressive dubstep and 808 bass sounds, a hypnotic Indian flute playing the signature melody of the song and a massive chorus. The minimalist verses and building prechorus parts all lead to haunting chorus parts with a melody line you will never get out of your head.

This title track aims to establish and redefine themselves after breaking the rules without being trapped in taboos or being wary of others to “Paint The Town” in LOONA’s colors.

타이틀 곡 “PTT (Paint The Town)”는 이제까지 이달의 소녀가 발매한 곡 중에 가장 강렬하고 폭발적인 에너지가 담긴 댄스 힙합 장르의 곡이다.

볼리우드(Bollywood) 노래의 모든 필수 요소가 결합된 이 곡은 공격적인 덥스텝과 808 베이스 사운드를 비롯해 노래의 시그니처 멜로디를 연주하는 최면 인도 플루트, 거대한 코러스와 결합된 거대한 인도 드럼과 타블라를 느낄 수 있다. 노래 전체가 순수한 히트 라인으로 구성됐으며 미니멀한 구절과 프리 코러스 부분으로 이어지는 중독적인 멜로디 라인은 한 번 들으면 잊혀지지 않는다.

이달의 소녀의 세계관을 전적으로 담아낸 것은 물론 이 속에서 금기에 갇히거나 남의 눈치를 보지 않고 주체적으로 스스로 확립하여 우리만의 색으로 “Paint The Town” 하겠다는 포부가 담겼다.

• “PTT (Paint The Town)” uses the “Indian_Vocal_Loop_08_125_Dm” sample from KSHMR’s Sounds of KSHMR Vol. 3 pack.
