[LOOP] (Hangul: 루프) is the first mini album by Yves. It was released on May 29, 2024, alongside the title track “LOOP”, featuring Lil Cherry.

The physical album comes in two versions: 1 and 2. On July 25, a special overseas version was announced, featuring exclusive photocards, a poster, and an English love letter.

Description[]

Having declared her independence last July, Yves, after long preparation, is at last releasing her first EP as an artist under PAIX PER MIL. Yves’s thoughts and feelings that have been slowly accumulating in her vlogs and blog combine with PAIX PER MIL’s rhythm to offer a pleasant uniqueness.

This album marks Yves’s first steps as a solo artist crafting a world of her own. For a long time, Yves has been in a team, and aligned herself to fixed rules and systems. To this person, this album is, breaking from the “loop” of uniform rules, a first attempt at exploring herself and expressing this through music. As such, this EP is clumsy but daring, crude but frank. It also holds gratitude for the fans who have waited out of their trust in her.

MILLIC (밀릭), head of PAIX PER MIL and executive producer, IOAH (아이오아) with stimulating beats, and blah delivering lyrical beauty, each participated in a song in [LOOP]. All PAIX PER MIL artists worked on this album while rooting for Yves. MILLIC said, “It felt like we were there as Yves was discovering herself.”

From folk to alternative R&B, the four songs in [LOOP] are the result of expressing in a variety of ways what Yves found as she looked into herself. You will be able to find thoughts and feelings from Yves that have been difficult to bring up before. It is incomplete, but that is why we invite you all on Yves’s voyage, which we’re looking forward to even more.[1]

작년 7월 독립을 선언한 이브. 오랜 준비 끝에, 마침내 파익스퍼밀의 아티스트로써 첫 EP를 발표한다. 브이로그와 블로그 등에 차곡차곡 쌓인 이브의 마음과 생각이, 파익스퍼밀의 리듬과 합쳐져 기분 좋은 특이함을 선사한다.

이번 앨범은 이브가 솔로 아티스트로써 자신만의 세계를 만들어가는 첫걸음이다. 이브는 오랜 시간 동안 팀 안에서, 그리고 일정한 규율과 시스템에 자신을 맞춰왔다. 그런 그에게 이번 앨범은 미리 정해진 규칙의 고리(loop)에서 벗어나, 스스로를 탐구하고 음악으로 표현하는 첫 시도이다. 그렇기에 이번 EP는 서툴지만 과감하고, 투박하지만 솔직하다. 자신을 믿고 기다려 준 팬들에 대한 고마움도 담겨 있다.

이번 앨범 [LOOP]는 파익스퍼밀을 이끄는 밀릭이 전체 총괄 프로듀싱을 맡았고, 감각적인 비트의 IOAH와 서정적인 아름다움을 전하는 blah가 각각 1곡씩 참여했다. 파익스퍼밀 아티스트들 모두 이브를 응원하며 이번 앨범을 작업했다. “이브의 자기다움을 찾는 시간을 함께한 것 같다”고 밀릭은 전한다.

포크부터 얼터너티브 R&B까지, [LOOP]에 수록된 네 곡의 음악은 이브가 자신을 탐구하며 발견한 모습을 다양하게 표현한 결과물이다. 그동안 꺼내기 어려웠던 이브의 마음과 생각을 만날 수 있을 것이다. 불완전하지만, 그렇기에 앞으로가 더 기대되는 이브의 항해에 여러분을 초대한다.[2]
