LOONAVERSE

기도 / Prayer

Who's Next Girl? Teaser

Olivia Hye (Hangul: 올리비아 혜) is the twelfth revealed character of the LOONAVERSE. She lives in Eden along with Yves, Chuu, and Go Won.

Appearance

Olivia Hye has black eyes and black hair.

Personality

As stated by BlockBerry Creative,[citation needed] Olivia Hye is meant to represent destruction and chaos, which can also be confirmed by her representative color. Unlike the rest of the representative colors, silver and black are on a grayscale, while the rest of the members' colors are on a color wheel.

Features Positive Meaning Negative Meaning Ref
Color Silver Sophisticated, Wealth, Modern Cold, Isolated, Industrial [1]
Second Color Black Sophisticated, Mystery, Elegance, Strength Grief, Fear, Death, Evil [2]
Animal Wolf Control, Instinctual Lack of trust [3]

History

As theorized by many, Olivia Hye is a fallen angel, meaning her color was once bright and colorful, but somehow became tainted and was outcasted, similar to Lucifer, a fallen angel in the new testament (More of this idea is explored under Cultural References). And with HeeJin representing the creator of the universe, this would mean they are on two opposite sides of the same coin, like night and day.

Many believe HeeJin created Olivia Hye originally with good intentions, but somehow Olivia Hye defied this. Another idea is that HeeJin created Olivia Hye subconsciously, and Olivia Hye represents HeeJin's fears and anxieties surrounding the LOONAVERSE.

As theorized by twinfish, Olivia Hye could've created yyxy as a mirror to 1/3, which can be confirmed with Daebak Jjang's Reverse Order Theory (as described in-depth below). We also see Olivia Hye being outcasted out of yyxy, which could show her wish to become part of 1/3, and leave yyxy, almost like she didn't choose this life. It could also show that yyxy are defying her by trying to leave Eden, while she wishes they could live in Eden together in harmony, similar to 1/3 on Earth. We also see Olivia Hye’s built up hatred and emotions in Egoist, showing her loving herself and forgetting about the others. She feels hurt and betrayed, and sick and tired of being pushed around by yyxy, and decides to defy them. (More of Olivia Hye’s relationship with yyxy is explored in Egoist and love4eva)

Relationships

HeeJin

Olivia Hye represents Heejin's opposite.

ViVi

All of Olivia Hye’s and Heejin's positive qualities were reflected in ViVi.

Yves

All of Olivia Hye and Heejin's negative qualities were reflected in Yves. Olivia Hye seems to detest Yves for abandoning her in the forest (seen in Love4Eva); however, they appear to be on good terms after Olivia Hye joined Yves on Earth (seen in Hi High).

Trivia

  • Many fans had suspected Olivia Hye of killing Vivi in Egoist because of the animal eyes shown in one of the scenes. But this theory has been debunked as it was a stock image of a wolf and not a deer.
