[Howl] (Hangul: 하울) is the first mini album by Chuu. It was released on October 18, 2023, at 6PM KST, including the title track “Howl”, whose promotions were preceded by the release of the music video for “Underwater”.

The physical album comes in three versions: Wave, Wind, and EVER MUSIC.

Sometimes there are moments when I want to bring out another self that is not me. A small voice inside me that I want to protect in the fast-moving waves! A journey to find your true self in the gently sparkling silence!

Chuu’s first mini album [Howl] captures the process of two people with wounds healing each other by becoming little heroes for each other in their own small world. Chuu expresses her identity solely through her own attractive voice, and through this album, she plans to deliver her first shout to the world through her first solo album with a stronger ego and Chuu’s unique music color.

This album contains a total of five songs, including the title song of the same name, “Howl”, “Underwater”, “My Palace”, “Aliens”, and “Hitchhiker”, and is enough to meet Chuu’s delicate sensibility and attractive vocals that have never been heard before. With Chuu’s delicate sensibility and clean tone, she participates in the chorus of all songs, and the tracks she builds up are expected to expand her musical spectrum as a vocalist and leave a mark on the global music scene.

Additionally, the music video, which was filmed on location in Portugal, depicts a girl growing up on her own after meeting her alter ego, a monster. Chuu’s free-spirited and rebellious visuals capture attention in a mysterious atmosphere that makes it impossible to tell which world she comes from, and presents an intense and unconventional freshness that has been never seen before.

츄의 첫 번째 미니 앨범 [Howl]은 상처를 가진 두 사람이 둘만의 작은 세상에 서로를 위한 작은 영웅이 되어 서로를 치유하는 과정을 담아내고 있다. 츄는 오롯이 그녀만의 매력적인 보이스로 아이덴티티를 담아내며 이번 앨범을 통해 보다 견고해진 자아와 츄만의 음악 색깔로 첫 솔로 앨범을 통해 세상을 향한 첫 외침을 전할 예정이다.

이번 앨범 동명의 타이틀곡 ‘Howl’을 비롯한 ‘Underwater’, ‘My Palace’, ‘Aliens’, ‘Hitchhiker’ 등 총 5곡이 수록되어 그동안 들어보지 못했던 츄의 섬세한 감성과 매력적인 보컬을 만나기에 충분하다. 츄만의 섬세한 감성과 청초한 음색으로 전 곡 코러스에 참여하여 차곡차곡 쌓여 만들어진 트랙들이 어우러져 보컬리스트로서 음악적 스펙트럼을 넓히며 글로벌 음악씬에서 존재감을 각인시킬 것으로 기대를 모은다.

또한 포르투갈 올로케이션으로 촬영된 뮤직비디오에서 자신과 또 다른 자아인 몬스터를 만나 스스로 성장해 나가는 소녀의 모습을 그려내고 있다. 츄는 어느 세계에서 왔는지 알 수 없는 오묘한 분위기 속에 자유분방하고 반항적인 비주얼이 시선을 사로잡으며 그동안 본 적 없는 강렬하고도 파격적인 싱그러움을 선사한다.
